Dayson Brooks

"I am writing this letter to thank all of those who have contributed to the fund and those who decided to grant me additional funding for my 2020-2021 academic school year. Like so many others, I have been struggling with the various obstacles and hardships presented by this year; however, receiving this scholarship has offered me some relief."

Taylor Owens

Currently, I serve as the Director of Scholastic Pursuits within the college of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS)…I am responsible for connecting CNAHS students with professional development opportunities such as scholarships, internship/externships, conferences, webinars, workshops, employment opportunities, and research with a heightened focus on providing opportunities for international students. I am responsible for all majors, classifications, and career paths that are aptly represented. I also assist students with test prep workshops, and the Dean’s list recognition ceremony, and the CNAHS career fair.

I also served as a 2020 tutor-mentor for the MIT/Wellesley Upward Bound Program in which I was responsible for day-to-day Math classes and afternoon workshops (Vision Boards & Scholarships and Candid Connections).
